About PushMyGrade

PushMyGrade is a free calculator and guide site built for Indian university students. The tools are free. No sign-up is required to use any of them.

Why this exists:

Indian university grading is genuinely complex. A 10-point scale, different grading systems across universities, CGPA vs SGPA, and percentage conversions that vary by institution. Most calculator sites available were either built for US students or hadn’t been updated in years.

Students needed a tool that calculated CGPA the way Indian universities actually calculate it and explained what that number meant for placements, higher studies, and scholarships.

That gap is what PushMyGrade is built around.

What’s on the site:

The CGPA calculator is subject-based. You add each subject with its grade points and credits. The calculator does the weighted average the way your university does, not a shortcut version.

Each result includes a personalised guide tailored to your CGPA range. Placement eligibility, M.Tech and MBA admissions, study abroad, and scholarship information specific to where your score sits.

Other available calculators: SGPA, required SGPA for a target CGPA, and percentage converters with university-specific notes for VTU, Anna University, JNTU, AKTU, and Mumbai University.

The blog addresses student questions that are often difficult to answer using official university information alone. University guides are being added for institutions across different states.

Who built it:

Arup Samanta built PushMyGrade.

The gap was obvious. Indian students have some of the most complex academic grading structures in the world, and the tools available didn’t reflect that. A student checking placement eligibility shouldn’t have to open 4 different tabs to get a usable answer.

PushMyGrade is independently owned. No investors or brand partnerships are involved in what gets published here.

One thing to be upfront about:

Every guide on this site carries a disclaimer. Placement cutoffs change. Scholarship criteria have changed. University admission rules change.

The information here is researched before publishing. For anything official, verify directly with the source before acting on it. The guides are starting points, not final answers.

Feel free to contact us anytime.

We are always open to improving PushMyGrade to make it more useful for students.
